Schools and Education

Since 1963, Covenant Players has used the powerful medium of drama to bring hope, encouragement, and a positive message into classrooms, auditoriums, group homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and other facilities all over the world.

Covenant Players has hundreds of plays written specifically for educational and community purposes - plays that powerfully deal with the complexities of the human condition while respecting the separation of church and state and the diversity of the cultures we serve.

What is Covenant Players?

Covenant Players is a Drama Resource that can perform ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

  • In a School Classroom.
  • As an English Language (ELCP) Resource.

Needing only a bit of space, a table and a few chairs we can perform:

There is perhaps no more powerful way to communicate a message than through the medium of drama. The process of identification empathy between the students and the characters on stage involves the whole person. The viewer is confronted with real-life issues and is challenged to think about them in a deeply personal way.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE?

Covenant Players requires an open performing area, six adult-sized chairs, a small table and parking availability for one mini-van. Themes and schedules will be established in advance with each individual school. We ask that a representative of the school be available upon arrival to facilitate set-up. Where appropriate, CP asks that a simple lunch for 3-4 performers be provided.

Note: Child Protection Regulations require that a certified member of the staff be present at all times during the program(s).
