Schools and Education

There is perhaps no more powerful way to communicate a message than through the medium of drama. The viewer is confronted with real-life issues and is challenged to think about them in a deeply personal way.

Covenant Players offers dynamic, effective, professional live theater in grade-level based programming on a variety of themes, including:

  • Conflict Resolution
  • Teen Suicide
  • Bullying
  • Substance Abuse and Prevention
  • Basic Drama Skills
  • Character Education
  • Peer Pressure
  • Supporting the Character Counts Program
  • Cooperation & Support
  • Working Together
  • Honesty and Integrity

Performances are designed for small groups and can occur in the classroom, multi-purpose room, wherever space permits.

A typical program is 45-50 minutes in length with a maximum of 5 sessions a day.

Due to the interactive nature of discussions and exercises included in the sessions, a maximum of 60 students per performance grouped by grade level is required.

What do I need to prepare?

Covenant Players requires an open performing area, six adult-sized chairs, a small table and parking availability for one mini-van. Themes and schedules will be established in advance with each individual school. We ask that a representative of the school be available upon arrival to facilitate set-up. Where appropriate, CP asks that a simple lunch for 3-4 performers be provided.

Note: Child Protection Regulations require that a certified member of the staff be present at all times during the program(s).
